Select your area, choose what to scatter, then place in one click.
Populate surfaces
Target the exact ground you want by selecting a surface or group of surfaces based on the assigned material. Great for lawns, planting beds, slopes, and plazas. You’ll see a clear preview with improved spacing and orientation, so you know what you’re about to place.
Draw any shape, fill it instantly
Sketch an irregular area directly in your scene and generate a live preview at the density you need. When you’re happy, place everything at once. The tool keeps placement clean and contained, so your vegetation stays inside the shape and your edges stay crisp.
Control spacing and overlap
Control weight and collision per item type so scenes look natural and intentional. Use it to balance trees and underbrush, reduce overlap, and keep assets neatly distributed, even at higher densities. It’s quick to adjust, intuitive to dial in, and built to help you land a polished result faster.
Clean section cuts straight from Lumion
Clipping planes are perfect for explaining a design, but hollow cuts slow you down and make sections harder to read.
Now you can fill clipped areas in the clipping planes tool. Finish section views in Lumion Pro as diagram-style visuals and architectural drawings, without patching elsewhere.
Use a flat color for crisp, graphic sections, or apply a material to show the cut with more realism. Either way, you get cleaner sections that are ready to present sooner.

Does Lumion work on Mac?
No. Virtually no high-end 3D live renderers work on Mac machines. If your business relies on CAD modelling and rendering you should use a Windows based machine with the correct graphics card, powerful CPU and plenty of high speed RAM.

Does Lumion work with my CAD software?
Lumion supports almost all modelling software such as ARCHLine.XP, Rhino3D, SketchUp, ArchiCAD, Revit, Vectorworks, BricsCAD, ARES, IronCAD, AutoCAD Architecture, IronCAD and many more. If you’re unsure, download the trial and check it out for yourself or ask us and we’ll check your model files for you.

- Ours lets you create files that you can later open in the commercial version. Lumion.com trial models can’t be opened later at all wasting all your evaluation modelling time!
- Ours contains all the content. The other has only 15% of the content library.
- Our trial includes Lumion Viewer, MyLumion, OpenStreetMap and Panorama Mode. The Lumion.com one does not!
Our Lumion trial is the latest version of the full PRO version without limitations.
What license options are available?
Lumion Pro is a ‘Named-User‘ license that allows use by one person who must log-in each time they use the software
Lumion Studio is a ‘Floating‘ license that allows use by different people on different machines at different times.
With the ‘Floating’ license you can add more users (‘seats’) to your initial license to run multiple sessions at the same time. For example if you have 4 seats you can install on 10 machines but run on 4 machines at the same time.
You must be connected to the internet as it checks your license online when you start the software, then releases the license when you close the software.
All licenses are subscription licenses that run for one or three years, automatically renew until cancelled and include all software upgrades.
What is Lumion 'Pro' ?
Lumion ‘Pro’ is the full software with a license that is for use by a single user.
What is Lumion 'Floating' ?
Lumion ‘Pro Floating’ is Lumion Pro but with a Floating License. This allows you to load the and use the same software license on multiple machines at different times. This option was formerly called Lumion Studio.
Why is your price in Australia less than Lumion.com itself?
To encourage Aussies to support Australian business we have made it a policy to offer the same product at a better price than if you were to purchase from our Lumion partners in Europe – Guaranteed.
Also, because we are based in Australia and registered for GST you get to claim the GST back saving you a further 10%. You can’t claim it back if you buy from Europe.
Currently we do not sell Lumion outside of Australia.
