Copy and Paste Entities in RealCAD / LANDWorksCAD / ArborCAD

Question

How do I copy entities in RealCAD / LANDWorksCAD / ArborCAD?

Answer

First, select the entities you would like to copy,

Select Entities

Then, hit [CTRL] + [C] keys, or alternatively, go to Edit > Copy

The command bar will prompt for a position to use as the origin of the entities.

We usually recommend to click on a point on the bottom left corner of the selection, as shown on the example below:

Now the entities should be copied to your clipboard.

Then, hit [CTRL] + [V] or alternatively, Edit > Paste to duplicate the previously copied entities.

Don’t forget to pick a point where the entities will be placed.

Trick

You can alternatively copy selected entities by dragging and dropping with your mouse and holding [CTRL] key simultaneously, bearing in mind to release the mouse first, then release the CTRL key.

Plus, by holding the [SHIFT] key you can copy entities horizontally or vertically aligned.
