Extend stairs in Home Designer

I want to extend the bottom stair to each side but not an ugly round step, just a wider step with squared edges….can that happen?
Answer
Yes, just make the bottom step a new stair run and force height of the bottom step of the second stair run up to the desired height. I have exaggerated the effect in the image below:
