How to find allow and block programs in Norton?

Question

How can I allow Norton to trust a program without prompting me about permissions?

Is there any way to allow a program to run regardless Norton’s preferences?

Answer

 

It is well know that Norton has issues when launching several CAD applications, such as RealCAD or DRCAuto software.

If you are using Norton, click on Settings, then Firewall Options:

Check for the Program Rules tab, then locate the program you want to allow from the list.

Norton Firewall Program Rules

Select Allow from the list box on the right side of the program path, and click Apply

Norton will allow the program to run as ‘trusted’.
