How to Install RockAuto?
Question
How do I install RockAuto for AutoCAD or Bricscad?
Answer
Depending on the CAD software you are using, AutoCAD or Bricscad, select the appropiate installer.
Opening the installer might prompt the Open File – Security Warning message as shown below:
Click on Run, and the InstallShield Installation Wizard will start.
Once the Welcome to InstallShield Wizard Dialog Box appears in your screen, hit Next.
Accept the End User License Agreement, click on Next.
Enter your user information: User Name, Company Name and Serial Number.
For a Trial Version of the software use the word ‘Trial‘, then click on Next.
Select between the type of setup presented: Custom, Minimum or Typical, then click Next.
Select the destination folder (or leave it as default), and then click on Next.
Once the installation process is completed, the configuration program will start up. Select your CAD software (AutoCAD or Bricscad) from the list and click on ‘Configure’ button.
- First, it will setup the ACADLSPASDOC variable to 1
- Next, it will create a new Profile.
- After naming the new profile, RockAuto will make changes to the Support File Search Path
- Once the configuration finishes, it will ask to Exit the CAD program Now (Recommended)
After closing your CAD software, the first run of AutoCAD or Bricscad will still perform some configuration routines for RockAuto.
