How to Set Automatic Save in AutoCAD?

I would like to have File Safety Precautions when working on my drawings. How do I set an Automatic Save and Create Backup Files with each Save? How can I change the folder where the Backup files are being stored?

Go to Tools > Options

Under the Open and Save Tab, File Safety Precautions Section, you can enable Automatic save along the the Minutes between saves.

Another interesting option is to Create backup copy with each save, setting that can also be enabled or disabled.

You can also change the Temporary folder where AutoCAD stores the Backup files by going to the Files Tab.

Then, expand the Automatic Save File Location section, and then click on Bro

wse… to change the folder.
