License Validity message taking too long and occurring too frequently in RealCAD / LANDWorksCAD / ArborCAD

Question

RealCAD / LANDWorksCAD / ArborCAD keeps checking license validity too frequently and takes too long.

Answer

There are two main reasons why that could be happening:

a) The time span between Auto Save is not long enough.

b) There are bitmaps inserted into your drawing as embedded.

To change the time span between the ‘Auto Save’ option, go to Options > System

The CAD files will be ‘lighter’ in file size if, instead of ’embedding’ the image into the drawing, we link to file to its original location in your local hard drive.

Go to Options > Bitmaps and check ‘Link to filename’.
