Renew, extend, move or transfer a license of EcosimaCAD

Question:

How do we extend our EcosimaCAD license for another year or move our license  from one machine to another?

Answer:

Follow the steps below (And be sure your annual subscription payment is up to date).

1. UNLICENSE (Note: If moving the license to a new machine, do this step on the old machine).

Run EcosimaCAD and select Help>About from EcosimaCAD pulldown menu. 

Click [Unlicense] button and follow instructions to save the licenseinfo.dat file to your desktop.
Exit EcosimaCAD completely.

2. GET LOCK (Note: If moving the license to a new machine, do this step on the new machine, otherwise use the same machine as before).

Run EcosimaCAD again and select [Set license key] button on the dialog.
Set {Have you purchased?} to Yes.

Tick  {This machine is not connected to the internet}.
Click Copy button to copy Lock number to Windows clipboard.

3. SEND EMAIL

Attach the licenseinfo.dat file from step 1 to an email. This is essential.
In the body, request to extend or move your license.
Include name of old user, new user and lock number. (We need the lock number to generate a key).
Send to support@cad.com.au

We will process and reply with a matching Key number. (We operate this service from Australia so be mindful of the time difference and holiday periods)

4. KEY

After you have received your key from us, run EcosimaCAD and click [Set license key] button.
Set {Have you purchased?} to Yes.
Tick {This machine is not connected to the internet}.
Copy & Paste the Key from our email to the Key field. (Do not include any spaces).
Click [Validate] button.  Wait up to 30 seconds. Your license should now be active.
