What is an Educational license?

An educational license is a license that restricts the user to the use relating to educational studies. Most educational licenses are either restricted by limiting the functionality of the program, or the size of the projects that can be modelled, or the amount of time the software will operate for, or the output the software can produce and may also include a digital signature that clearly identifies the models produced as being created by an educational version. It is rare for educational licenses to allow users to produce commercial works of any kind. Educational licenses are usually provided at a greatly reduced price.
